「全日本鉄道労働組合総連合会」（ＪＲ総連）の関連財団「日本鉄道福祉事業協会」（東京都品川区）の元理事長（７１）らが、財団の銀行口座から約１億５０００万円を着服したとされる事件で、警視庁公安部は１９日、関連先として、ＪＲ総連傘下の「東日本旅客鉄道労働組合」（ＪＲ東労組）の元会長（７１）宅などを捜索した。
財団の口座からは、元会長名義の口座にも約７０００万円が振り込まれていることなどから、公安部は、元会長が一連の資金の流れにどのように関与していたかについても調べる方針。
捜索を受けているのは、元会長の埼玉県小川町の自宅マンションや、ＪＲ総連幹部（５７）の品川区内の自宅など７か所。
